✨nice words✨

It takes hours (sometimes days and days)  to make my jewellery collections, bespoke orders and sentimental keepsakes. So when I send them out into the world to be enjoyed, there is always a little bubble of excitement 💕and nerves as I put my heart and soul into all my collections and commission jewellery.
Across Google, Etsy and my own website I have well over 150+ official 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews☺️✨
These are like gold dust to independent business and I’m so grateful to every one who’s taken to time to write one xx
On top of these I receive countless, beautiful messages to let me know how much a certain piece of jewellery has meant to them, and that makes my heart sing 🥰

Thank you Bev xx

Go check them out ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Christmas Elf

With the big day just around the corner, all the handmade businesses around the country are preparing for Christmas Markets and the inevitable last minute shoppers!

As much as we are all just as excited about Christmas as everyone else, it also have an element of the unknown...
have I made enough stock, have I made too much stock, did I make enough of my best sellers, are people buying from handmade artists this Christmas, I hope people show up to Christmas markets, will I reach my sales targets??

We are all acutely aware of the cost of living increases and have had to make increases to our prices to cover our rising costs too!

Yet we still absolutely LOVE this time of year!  For me it is full of making the most beautiful and sentimental jewellery.  Sending out print kits and meeting customers.  My studio has visitors....I love visitors!
Lots of pretty packaging and popping to the post office with piles of boxes to be sent all around the country....makers bliss xx

So instead of buying lots of little bits and bobs this Christmas, buy something that will last the distance, that is made with love from eco friendly silver and that will bring joy, not only to your loved ones, but also to a handmade jewellery maker (me xx)

I love to teach

Over the past few years I have had the pleasure of teaching silver clay jewellery classes to lots and lots of wonderful people.  Some have been naturally creative and full of ideas of what they would like to create, some have been less confident.

I can almost feel their nervous excitement as they explore the possibilities!  I like to get everyone relaxed before we start using the silver clay by encouraging them to play with textures and shapes.  Starting with a little piece of play dough to texture and see which design they like first.

Then it's on to the best bit...the magic that is silver clay!  A totally fabulous eco silver that has endless possibilities ✨

The best part of my silver clay jewellery workshops has got to be when the final polishing begins and the look of wonder on everyones faces when they realise how beautiful their jewellery pieces have turned out 🥰 it's priceless!

Check out my 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews on Google...here are a few for you.

The silver clay workshop was such a wonderful experience, Bev was patient, enthusiastic and friendly.  We were given the freedom to make whatever we wanted with the aid of her experience to make it happen.  It is absolutely worth the money and you take and you take home everything you make.  I would gladly go again!

We had such a lovely day creating silver jewellery.  Bev was a very good teacher and we felt very proud of the items we made.

I recently attended a silver clay workshop and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.  I learnt how to make a beautiful pendant.  Bev took us through the creative process from start to finish, it truly was magical.  So happy with the results, I would love to attend another course soon.  Thank you!

I would love to see you at one of my classes, so head over to the workshop section to book your place!

One more day

I had two little boys visit my studio today.  Sweet, cheeky, funny, cute, interested in everything, asking lots of questions, wanting to have a ‘go’ with all my hammers.  Such good fun and full of wonder.  Once they had gone and we had waved goodbye it got me reminiscing abut my precious boys when they were the same age.

Oh what I would do just to have another day with my little boys when they were so small.  To build a massive train track that filled the lounge, line up all their toy cars, make Duplo towers that nearly reached the ceiling.  Bake cup cakes and meet some friends at the zoo, with our wellies and coats on and a yummy picnic in the pushchair.  Those simple night time routines of teatime, walk, bath stories and bed… everyone tucked up warm and snuggly by 7pm.  All those hugs and sloppy kisses, holding hands and carrying them in my arms.

Now don’t get me wrong, not all days were like this by far!  I have picked an idyllic day (of course I would - I’m indulging myself with only happy memories).  At the time I was so busy keeping everyone healthy, happy and entertained, it was exhausting…but I miss it.

I totally love the kind, strong, gorgeous teenagers that my babies have grown into, I would just love to read them a story and have them hang on my every word, just for one more day xx

The days are long, but the years are short.

So...what do you do?

Jump back nearly 11 years ago.  I had been a nanny for lots of wonderful families and now here I was, a mummy to my very own two beautiful boys.  It was all I had ever dreamed of.  With their little arms around my neck like the most precious diamonds.

I knew from experience that they would grow faster that I could imagine, and that all too soon they would be making their own way in the world.  With this in mind I wanted to be at home with them as much as I possibly could and savour the sweetness of my little ones.

It was also very important that they saw a strong, capable role model in me.  I needed, and wanted to work part time to bring in an income for our family.  And along came Treasure Box, my very own jewellery business!  Starting out with fingerprint jewellery and developing over the years to include more keepsake jewellery and also essential everyday silver jewellery.

Treasure Box jewellery is a tangible way to capture a moment in time, to mark a milestone, to honour a loss and I feel so privileged to be asked to make such treasured pieces.

This picture is a bit like my head...full of jewellery ideas whizzing about!  And I love them all xx
