Frequently asked questions
How can I take care of my jewellery?
Most of the pendants and charms are made using pure silver which is softer than sterling silver therefore-
*Keep perfumes, hairspray, creams and oils away from your jewellery, as this will make it dull or tarnished.
*Take jewellery off before you swim, bathe or exercise.
*Avoid wearing with other heavy jewellery as it will dent and scratch the surface, and may rub away any engraving.
*If using silver dip liquid to clean, only dip the necklace / bracelet and not the charm as this will remove the antiquing details.
*Clean regularly with a silver polishing cloth to keep it looking shiny!
*Store in its own box or jewellery box when you are no wearing it and keep out of direct sunlight, as this slows down the natural tarnishing process.
What age can I have my babies print taken?
Fingerprint jewellery - I would suggest that over 6 months would be best as before this the fingerprint is very fine and may not show up in the silver, although you will still have a beautiful indentation of their tiny fingertip. Some older babies still have a faint prints, we are all different after all!
Hand, Foot or paw print jewellery - can be taken from birth as the wipes are toxic free and super safe for all ages. I still advise that you wash or wipe any residue off as a precaution after use.

Q How long until I receive my jewellery?
The usual turn around time is 2-4 weeks from when we receive the prints. Busy times such as Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas can affect the return time.

Q Will photos of my jewellery be used on Treasure Box's website or social media?
As an independent jewellery business owner, I do photograph my work regularly, especially new designs.
Sometime I use these photos in my marketing to help other new customers visualise how their jewellery will look. I am careful not to publish photos that are yet to be gifted, as I wouldn't want to spoil any surprises! Also any items that could be sensitive in any way.
If you see your jewellery being used in any marketing, it will be without reference to you directly.
I would consider it a wonderful thing that your piece is so beautiful that it was showcased. However if for whatever reason you would rather I didn't use any of your jewellery commissions in marketing, please just let me know.
